EN NATT I DEN SVENSKA SOMMAREN  (2002)

(A Night in the Swedish Summer)

ROLE:  Jag

THEATRE:  Royal Dramatic Theatre

DIRECTOR: Eva Bergman

PREMIERE:  September 21, 2002

Synopsis

A major Russian director is recording a movie somewhere in Sweden. While he deliberately seeks the perfect picture in the white summer night, production is still standing and the actors are becoming more and more enlightened. It is both a philosophical and fun play of love -  starting point in the recording of Andrej Tarkovsky's last film Offret - where Erland Josephson brilliantly captures the filmmaker's eternal waiting and questions about life, art and language.
